The breakfast with a delicious creamy porridge, fruits plus choices-starting from different kind of bread is incredible for what is offered.

Ideal small hotel for 1 night in Breiddalsvik. Friendly check-in and decent sized room with comfy new beds good hot shower, free coffee, as example. Stunning and incredible location with free parking. Very beautiful area. The restaurant was excellant, for dinner. Real good stay, as always.

I just spent a night in a Superior Double or Twin Room. The place had a cozy, rustic vibe with lots of wood. Breakfast was a highlight with freshly baked bread and tasty options. The staff were pretty good too. Plus, the hot tub was a perfect way to unwind 😊

Cozy retreat with friendly faces
Amidst winter's chill, the hotel radiated warmth with its fine wooden decor and a breakfast that seemed like a good feast. The staff turned strangers into friends with their attentive service that brightened our stay.
The lingering moisture smell in the bathroom was a bit off-putting. A simple window opening solved it, but it was a minor downside in an otherwise charming atmosphere.

Everything was perfectly organized and clean. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. We also liked the breakfast buffet selection as well as the nicely done "common area" inside the hotel. Also the location of the hotel perfectly matched our trip's organization.
The only minor thing that we did not like about our room was its location close to the hotel's main entrance, a location used by other hotel guests to smoke and chat - right next to our (open) window. Maybe a dedicated "smoking area" at a more distant location could solve this problem?

Fine natural views, warm and cozy communal areas, unique wood-panelled rooms
Thin walls made noise unbearable at times!!! The limited TV channels seemed like a throwback to the dark ages!!! A cramped bathroom turned the experience more uncomfortable than it needed to be!!!

This is a very good hotel with with a large and nice study/recreation room. We were the only two guests after a week that it had been fully booked by an international conference of astronomers. As we had to leave early to continue our travelling around the island, they alos woke up early to prepare breakfast for us. And what a breakfast that was! The whole table filled... The evening before the reception pointed us to a very nice and cosy German restaurant at the edge of the little town: Hotel Cafe Restaurant Margret. And that was a revelation, too!

I appreciated the manager's hospitality when he brought me ice personally . Bring your own snacks to avoid high prices nearby.

The rooms are nice, clean and comfortable, the hotel is easy to reach from route 1. What we did not like at all is that the rooms don't face the seafront which is a pity as the town is a seaport. So when you are in the room, it could be just anywhere. Rather select Hotel Margaret if you want to have excellent views of the fjord . . .

Comfortable and attractive lounge area. The room was log cabin style and spacious with a large shower room.
The single bed in our triple room had a rather narrow matress. Also there were several small windows with frosted glass but no curtains, not ideal for short Icelandic summer nights.
